The first half of yesterday saw the junior Selection Series, 3.5 Star and Davis Trading ITF matches in action on all 17 courts. Unfortunately, the evening’s NTRP matches were interrupted by showers halfway through the evening resulting in unfinished matches. In the Stanley Park Brewing Feature Match of the Day, No. 1 seeds Eugene Joy and Yun Shao defeated John Mah and Gloria Sung, 6-0, 6-4 to reach the semifinals of the Mixed 4.0 Doubles draw.
July 9th Leith Wheeler Match of the Day: U18 Davis Trading ITF Boys Singles
WC Lachlan Robertson (CAN) defeated Alexander Petrov (USA) 6-4, 3-6, 6-3
As of 7 AM this morning, the courts are wet from overnight showers, but it is not raining. Junior Selection Series and 3.5 Star matches starting between 8 AM and 9:30 AM have been pushed back to start at 11 AM. The best place to check for updates on the weather and status of the matches is here.
The Davis Trading Junior ITF matches are scheduled to begin at 11 AM with second round boys singles action, followed by the second round of girls singles. BC’s top juniors Luka Vukovic, Lachlan Robertson, Aram Noroozian and Henry Ren are all up first at 11 AM. Following the boys matches, BC’s Maryjoe Crisologo will take on the girls No. 1 seed Jenna Defalco (USA).

Davis Trading U18 ITF First Round Main Draw Complete The first round main draw matches at the Davis Trading Junior ITF are now complete. Many of the boys singles matches yesterday were close, with seven of the eight seeds making it through to Round 2. In girls doubles, Canadian duo Marina Stakusic and Annabelle Xu upset the No. 2 seeds from the US, Elizabeth Coleman and Vanessa Ong, 2-6, 6-2, 10-8. Order of Play
