Day 8 saw more blue skies with the good weather expected to continue for the remainder of the tournament – a Tournament Director’s dream!

Lots of junior were in action today, with the J100 ITF Doubles finals, Rookie and Rising Star Tour events on deck. NTRP continues too.

J100 Girls’ Doubles final saw Raphaelle and Emma defeating Isabelle and Briley, while on the boys’ side, Connor and Zachary defeated Owen and Jason. Congratulations to all the J100 players!

Rookie and Rising Stars Tours are entry-level competitive events designed to give young players a chance to step into match play. Kids keep track of their scores (with a little help sometimes) and call their own lines too. Compass draws are used to ensure lots of playing time and lots of matches. In between play, kids get to know others of similar age and ability.

The weekend is shaping up to feature some great tennis including a Fastest Serve competition, more finals, and Open qualifying too.
