Day 14 was a hot one! It was humid at the Park, and there was no breeze to speak of. Matches today featured NJOS, Open and NTRP. It was a day of past Open champions returning to vie for a spot in the next round and there were some tough battles.

Title sponsor, National Bank hosted a social night for staff and volunteers in an on-site marquee, with catering provided by Stanley Park Brewing. It was a lovely evening courtside as the temperature began to cool and the last matches wrapped up.

In the Open men’s singles, past champions Henry Ren, Connor Church, Jackson Boone, Denny Bao, Phillip Bester and Riaan Dutoit were all in action, while on the women’s side past champions Reece Carter, Khristina Blajkevitch, and Alessia Cau fought to stay in it.

Henry Ren, Phillip Bester, Riaan Dutoit, and Connor Church are still in it, and so are Alessia Cau and Reece Carter. It’s shaping up to offer some big matches. You can tune in to the livestreaming to see matches on courts 1-6.
